Massive amounts of Bell Peppers

massive bell peppers             May 24th 2014     We have 16 Bell Pepper Plants packed in this small space. They are growing great and small peppers are growing on them already. Using the WaterStick, Super42Vitalizer, and BUG JUICE, the main stalks are getting thick and strong. We have 1 extra Bell Pepper that is NOT on the WaterStick, and the main stalk of this plant is about half the size of the ones that are being watered and fertilized using the WaterStick.

The amount of food we are growing in this small garden is incredible

waterstick grow systemMay 24th 2014   The amount of food we are growing in this small garden is incredible. Growing this much food so close together keeps the weeds from growing. I think so far, I’ve picked 2 small weeds from the garden just using 2 fingers. The garden is producing so much lettuce, my Wife and I are eating a large salad every day and still have extra we’ve been giving away to friends and neighbors. We did find out one thing. Instead of crisping your lettuce in a large bowl with water in the refrigerator, if you rinse the lettuce with water and put it in a plastic grocery bag in the refrigerator, both the Green AND Red Romaine crisp up nicely and stay fresher longer than keeping them in a bowl of water. I am now a HUGE fan of Red Romaine. You can count on it being in my Fall garden this year !

Growing Red Romaine Lettuce

Gardens_05-03-2014_09May 03, 2014 This is the first year I’ve grown Red Romaine Lettuce. It tastes GREAT !!! The leaves seem to pretty much grow straight up, and makes picking individual leaves much easier than the Green Romaine. The one “downside” if you call it that, is that the Red Romaine is not as thick as the Green, and does not crisp-up as much as the Green. The fantastic flavor of the Red MORE than makes up for it not getting as crispy as the Green. As you can see in this photo (from left to right), the Red Romaine, Green Romaine, and Spinach are all doing wonderful. A great healthy salad doesn’t get any fresher than this.

Better Boy Tomato Plants

Gardens_05-03-2014_01May 03, 2014 In the original garden we have planted 2 Better Boy Tomato Plants, 16 Bell Pepper Plants, Red Romaine, Green Romaine, Spinach, and Norland Potatoes. The new garden has 12 Tomato Plants. 3 Rutgers, 3 Celebrity, 3 Early Girl, and 3 Health Kick. Everything seems to be doing well.
